This mint iced tea is sure to become your favorite beverage of the summer. Created by Jessica Merchant of How Sweet It Is and featured on Better Homes and Gardens, the boozy recipe consists of fruity iced tea, spikes of bourbon and lots of fresh mint. The seasonal cocktail is the perfect accompaniment to an outdoor happy hour enjoyed on a patio surrounded by friends (such as the 4th of July).
In addition to being spiked with bourbon, the mint iced tea has lemon juice and orange juice for a fun citrusy element. It also makes a great alternative to a margarita or vodka soda this time of year.
To make your own at home, you'll need orange pekoe tea, fresh mint sprigs, orange juice, lemon juice, bourbon, water, sugar and lots of ice.
