Although the vast majority of Milk Makeup products have always used vegan formulas, the brand recently shared that it would be taking steps to ensure that every release uses no animal byproducts at all.
Dianna Ruth, the brand's cofounder, explained the decision by saying, "While we've always been a majority-vegan line, the shift to 100% vegan is important to us because using animal byproducts is an unnecessary practice. There is no animal product or byproduct that doesn't have a safe natural or synthetic alternative."
In order to reach its goal of being a fully vegan brand, Milk has already taken a few products off of its site, such as the "Eye Pigment in Peep Show, Glitter Stick in Trance and New Wave, Eye Vinyl in Valet, Hero Salve and Lip Salve." Replacing these products will be new vegan releases.
