For this series, simply titled ‘Celebrities,’ digital artist Mike Campau joined forces with photographer Paul Mobley to create an intimate yet offbeat portrayal of some of pop culture's most famous figures.
The series focuses on celebrities in their homes, in hotels, on the road and backstage to create a stylized but faithful rendition of their personalities. As Mike Campau explains on his Behance page, Paul and him brainstorm prior to each shoot in order to work out what color, tones and CGI best suit the person at hand. Looking through the series, it seems they have been spot-on with such choices, as each picture is an explosion of personality and stunning visuals.
Campau is currently the creative director and lead digital artist at the Michigan-based design and digital imaging studio SeventhStreet.
