These Nike Shoes Celebrate the Day of the Dead Holiday
David Ingram — October 28, 2015 — Fashion
In Celebration of the Mexican holiday of 'Dia De Los Muertos' Nike is set to unveil to the public this festive sneaker release.
Also known as the "Day of the Dead," the upcoming Mexican holiday occurs every autumn to remember family members who've passed on and to celebrate and support their spirit's journey into the afterlife. With the upcoming holiday in mind, Nike has redone its 'Cortez' shoe silhouette with a number of festive decorative touches. A black marigold floral pattern with festival-appropriate sugar skulls decorates a premium nylon and suede upper. The iconic Nike Swoosh has also been rendered in both an outer navy and inner orange color palette.
The inner sole of the shoe also features a sugar skull graphic that has been split in half for a extra decorative touch perfect for the festival season.
