Meati Foods makes nuggets, jerky, steaks and other innovative animal-free alternatives with a base of mycelium (fungi's nutrient-absorbing underground network) and the brand kicked off 2025 by breaking into the breakfast category with Meati Breakfast Patties.
Available in Original and Maple flavors, the freezer-friendly Meati Breakfast Patties are made of 98% mycelium and offer a nutrient-packed, umami alternative to conventional breakfast meats. “We wanted to create something with the same big aroma that fills your kitchen, and the same taste and texture of the breakfast patty you grew up with—but with a much cleaner nutrient profile,” Phil Graves, CEO of Meati Foods, told Vegconomist. Nutrient-wise, one mycelium-based patty provides eight grams of protein and four grams of fiber with no saturated fat or cholesterol.
