Lucknow Railyway Security
The growing menace of monkeys at the Lucknow railway station in India have caused officials to hire a man to dress up like a monkey to scare the real monkeys away. The concept is like that of a scarecrow, but is hopefully more effective.
Known as ‘Monkey Man,' Acchan Miyan is paid around $7 US a day to scare monkeys away from Charbag railway station of Lucknow, India.
PC it is not, but it seems to work, and Acchan Miyan clearly has pride in his job.
"There used to be thousands of monkeys here," he says. "But most of them have run away. People said that I would be eaten by the animals. But instead I've sacred them all the way."
