LOVE Architecture & Urbanism is a creative architecture shop that was given the task of refurbishing the Gerngross! shopping center in Styria, Austria.
The five-story mall is one the main attractions in Styria and to revamp it, LOVE Architecture & Urbanism really stepped it up. The designers focused on two important elements on the rebuild: the external facade and the escalator in the atrium.
The escalators are the most extravagant feature in the building as they become the main focal point. The giant white ascending escalators are visually stunning and the use of bright lighting accentuates them, turning them into works of art.
The revamp was a huge success for LOVE Architecture & Urbanism as the Gerngross! will be a design standpoint of the modern ages.
