There are plenty of benefits associated with taking a very direct visual approach to brand identity design, and the image presented on l'Ermita Beer packaging could hardly come with more kick. The emblem that's featured most prominently here is that of a black cross.
Interestingly, the Christian symbol isn't printed on the sticker, but rather suggested through negative space. It's been outlined by the ends of the label that remain about a centimeter apart. The shorter vertical component is made by two rectangular notches cut into the sides.
Nueve of Spain put the 100% traditional beer in an old style swing top bottle. The stamped text and elegant typefaces used over the pure white surface have been inspired by Romanesque architecture for a well-established look.
