Virgil Abloh’s legacy continues to live on through Off-White™ and Louis Vuitton’s recent releases. For Off-White™’s Fall/Winter 2022 campaign, the brand taps photographer Rafael Pavarotti and art and image director, Ib Kamara, in order to explore the Moroccan city of Chefchaouen.
“The city of Chefchaouen was key as a deeply historical old town with a very surreal point of view and notoriety. Apparently, it began to paint itself blue as an omen to bring water to the area; it’s about nourishment, growth, survival and development. The initiative and ambition of the local culture to paint the built environment blue is profound. Broad brush strokes of varying shades of blue, ultramarine and indigo refrigerate this exceptionally hot city," said the brand in a statement.
Off-White™’s forthcoming collection features bags, bomber jackets, skiwear-inspired pants, and subverted workwear pieces. Skateboarding references appear throughout the range, most explicitly on a blue shirt and a pair of baggy black pants. Additional highlights include soft flannels, pleated skirts, tank tops, a range of sunglasses, and more.
