Kawashima Textile Celcon Works With Three Designers on a Classic Chair

Kawashima Textile Celcon is a Japanese textile manufacturer and it recently worked in collaboration with three Japanese fashion designers to create new bridges of exploring futuristic textiles. Highsnobiety Japan states that the manufacturer has been in works since the year 1843.
The three contributing designers are Taro Horiuchi, Ino Masayuki, and Aoki Akiko. All of the designers created their own special patterning fabric design, named 'AKIKOAOKI, doublet, and the TARO HORIUCHI.' Each design pattern represents the respective designer's aesthetics, adorning the classic Egg chair by the renowned furniture designer Fritz Hansen. The patterning Egg chairs are displayed at the front of the Fritz Hansen Aoyama Main Store as a statement of Kawashima Textile Celcon's textile work and the progressive mindset for a company that is older than a century.
