Booker's bourbon company created a new batch named Kathleen's Batch, made in the same style as the brand's other Baker's, Basil Hayden's and Knob Creek varieties. The new series is named after Kathleen DiBenedetto, a new inductee into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of fame who works for Beam Suntory.
The new bourbon is aged for six years, three months and 14 days to ensure flavor from the oak barrel seeps in as much as possible. The new batch is bottled at 63.7% ABV, which is slightly higher than the brand's other classic bourbon options. Kathleen's Batch offers strong and bold notes of leather and honey, along with Booker's traditional coloring and sharp bite at the finish. The product retails for $70 a bottle.
