As the war on plastic continues to wage, Notpla and Just Eat Takeaway are offering customers a sustainable takeout alternative made from seaweed. The new takeout container reminds customers of its sustainable construction with these adorned words: “Finally, a box that is truly made to biodegrade.”
Notpla, the makers of the Ooho sustainable packaging system, has partnered with global online food delivery service Just Eat Takeaway to offer consumers more options for breaking free from conventional single-use plastics. With a liner made of seaweed, the to-go packaging is just as greaseproof and waterproof as it was before. As a result, it is a takeout container that can be composted at home or recycled. Moreover, the container will degrade in less than 30 days.
