Japanese cuisine requires a combination of several individual items to make the meal which means lots of packaging when ordered in, so the 'One Size' biodegradable takeaway packaging is intended to highlight enhanced sustainability.
Designed by Anna Piasek, the packaging boasts a modular aesthetic that can be changed to suit all of the various components that could make up a Japanese takeaway meal. This includes several main containers that can be split using dividers to keep items separate but in the same unit to eliminate wasted space.
The 'One Size' biodegradable takeaway packaging is crafted from molded cellulose, which is a blend of natural fibers or recycled paper to encourage decomposition after use. The containers are each coated with a 100% plant-based layer to ensure it's waterproof and food-safe.
