Nike has revealed new Japanese festival-inspired sneakers of its Nike Dunk Low model with a 'Setsubun' colorway. The sneakers are inspired by the Setsubun festival, known to be a bean-throwing festival celebrated at the beginning of spring in the old calendar of Japan. It is also done as a ceremony to purify Japanese houses to ward off evil spirits.
The sneakers are designed in a mixture of colors that represent springtime. The uppers are coated in light beige, and the Nike branding logo on the lateral is colored purple with light brown outlining. There is also a tiny Nike branding logo on the perforated toe box with brown overlays. Certain standout features of the sneakers are the purple devil emblem placed near the heel counter and the insole displaying the famous "Kintoki Throwing Beans at Fleeing Demons" painting by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. The sneakers will be available for $120 on April 11.
