As if comic geeks everywhere didn’t find the cast of X-Men badass enough, illustrator Jamie Roberts recently rendered the ragtag crew of mutants as rock stars. It goes without saying that the resulting images are ridiculously awesome.
Among those featured in the series, which Jamie Roberts has titled ‘X-Rock,’ are Rogue, Nightcrawler, Beast, Banshee and Wolverine. It’s actually quite amusing to see Roberts cast several characters in roles that cater to their superpowers. And having Wolverine as a Slash-esque lead guitarist was just a stroke of genius.
The series is also notable for its use of cyan and magenta, complementary colors that really pop off the black backdrop that Roberts used to replicate lighting in live venues.
