The latest Jack White record release is a true work of art. The stylish blues and indie rock singer turned record label front-man has released this stunning looking package for Gibby Hayne's new single on his Third Man Records label.
The solo release from Haynes will be extra special for vinyl collectors as it is pressed on vintage medical x-rays. White was able to get the prints pressed onto flexible discs called Roentgenizdat records.
White, ever the inventor, has modernized a vintage technique used in the Soviet Union post World War II. The technique was used as a way for artists to produce underground music when dictator Stalin tried to do away with records in an attempt to do away with American culture. X-rays were an inexpensive and readily available material for struggling artists to use.
