Sycamore Brewing, which has enjoyed a meteoric rise toward becoming one of the top craft breweries in the state of North Carolina, has launched 'Juicy Lager,' a delicious new India Pale Lager that well and truly combines the best traits of lagers and India Pale Ales (IPAs).
The 'Juicy Lager' beer comes in at 7.2 percent ABV. As far as flavor profile goes, elements of orange and tangerine are evident upon first sip, with grapefruit contributing to the beer's juicy character. The beer also offers subtly notes of dankness and earthy character, with notes of cereal malt and crackers helping to round out the wholesome flavor with the assistance of spiced rye malt hints.
Brewed with lager yeast, this India Pale Lager manages to find a deft balance between hop-forward flavors and lager-like accessibility.
