IKEA Austria is now using retail beacons for the purpose of pushing in-store marketing to consumers who have the IKEA FAMILY app downloaded and Bluetooth enabled.
At its store in Graz, in-store beacons are situated at certain spots in the store in order to welcome shoppers on arrival, entice consumers to take a break at the Food Market and enjoy a free coffee, or offer reminders to use a rewards card when checking out.
