HPSA is working in collaboration with Wolfgang Günther to update an already existing church in Austria. The plan is to "transform the area to to include a program with a cultural center and an office," according to DesignBoom.
Offices and churches don't normally go hand in hand, but HPSA is clearly trying something different here. Much of the original structure will stay in place, but the designers will revamp the upper area of the church and keep most of the bottom space in tact. It's hard to say how many people attend this church, but hopefully after these changes the numbers will increase from what they already are. With more access to cultural education, this should attract various kinds of clientele, and breath life back into this church in Austria.
