Studio Za Arhitekturu designed 'House MY,' a contemporary sanctuary located in Korcula, Croatia.
The architects concerned themselves which achieving a delicate balance of complete freedom and absolute control. The objective was to include all possible contrasts and contradictions, so as to encompass all stories or interpretations. The upper level of the home is a true "fisherman's abode," an enclosed and controlled internal microcosm that looks out towards the spectacular coastal views.
The architects explain, "This house is for my dear friends. It is about the exclusive reading of identity [...] Memory is their identity, they do what they do (create) and what they create has its place in their memories [...] That is why this house is an excerpt of their dynamic and modern life on the edge of the coast of Korcula."
