The Hot to Cold Exhibit by BIG in Washington DC is Fascinating
Rebecca Byers — February 11, 2015 — Art & Design
The Hot to Cold exhibit by Danish architecture firm BIG is a comprehensive experience that will take patrons through the creative process of their recent work at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC through August 2015.
The immersive Hot to Cold exhibit will explore the adaptive nature of the design process in regards to the changing climate and geographical elements faced by BIG on 60 of their recent projects, models of which will be on display.
While this is BIG's first exhibition of their design in North America, the firm collaborated with the National Building Museum in Washington in 2014, when they produced an interactive maze in the same space. BIG and Bjarke Engels was named by the Smithsonian in 2013 to spearhead their multi-billion dollar refurbishment plans for their southern campus in the center of DC.
