In a demonstrative display of its contactless payWave system, credit card company Visa Canada set up a strange hockey competition between two NHL players. NHL stars Ryan Suter of Minnesota Wild and Edmonton Oilers' forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins were challenged to pick up a basket of pucks and ring them through a checkout station. Although you might think that this task would be impossible with all of that bulky hockey gear on, the touchless payment system made it look effortless. Ultimately, the aim of this video series is to emphasize how payWave speeds up any transaction, but to make things stranger, the guys then had to shoot the pucks at a net filled with fruits.
More zany videos of this style are also being created, along with a series of punishment videos to show fans what happens to the losers of these strange hockey competitions.
