Riding a Fine Line Between Extreme and Dangerous
Alex Scott — January 15, 2010 — Eco
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m proud to announce to you the newest extreme sport and/or method of public travel: high wire cycling.
HIgh wire cycling, or “Kolelinia” as it is sometimes referred to, is an activity that combines the classic love of cycling with everyone’s childhood dream of doing tight rope sports. Though it looks inconceivably dangerous, high wire cycling is actually pretty safe on closer inspection. The wheels of the bike are actually riding in a mini half pipe track and the bike's handles are connected to two safety cables. My prediction is that high wire cycling will make its debut in the 2020 Olympics.
