Top-shelf Australian spirit maker Archie Rose Distilling Co. has announced the release of High Test Molasses Rum cask, the latest addition to its Trials and Exceptions series.
According to Archie Rose, the new premium expression actually arrives as a result of an accident at the distillery. Apparently, a bet had been wagered amongst the distilling team that no one would be able to make a premium rum cask finished whiskey. Then, a few High Test Molasses Rum casks rolled into the distillery, which got the team experimenting.
As a result, the new High Test Molasses Rum cask was born, which boasts a sophisticated flavor profile that perfectly balances molasses and malt while delivering tasting notes of rum, sticky date pudding, and raisin ice cream.
