Home genetic test kits have risen in popularity in recent years, and as a result, more and more people are interested in planning heritage-themed vacations. Airbnb and 23andMe have done exactly that with their recent collaboration.

The process is simple: customers will take the DNA test via 23andMe, which takes three to five weeks for results. The ancestry report will include 'Homes' and 'Experiences' suggestions by Airbnb based on these results, letting customers easily plan a "heritage" trip. Research shows that since it has become increasingly easy to test your roots, more consumers are planning their next vacation destination based on the DNA genetic results.
