Each year, there are countless chocolate Easter eggs created to look like real hen's eggs, but the resemblance usually only goes as far as a general shape. These eggs from the Chocolate Trading Company go above and beyond when it comes to mimicking real chicken eggs, calling them "as natural as a chocolate Easter egg can get."
The chocolate treats are encased in real egg shells from French hens and are packaged in genuine egg cartons to add to the realism. Inside of the shells, the treats boast a filling of milk chocolate, hazelnuts and almond pralines.
Because there are shells that protect the treats inside, the Chocolate Trading Company recommends that one may heat the chocolate eggs slightly in the microwave to create a dip.
