The Harry Potter Parody is the Latest Internet Meme

If there’s one thing the Harry Potter saga was missing, it’s song and dance numbers. Fortunately, that’s been fixed thanks to “A Very Potter Musical.” The musical, written and performed by University of Michigan students, has been gaining popularity on YouTube. The entire play was uploaded in sections to the site in June 2009 and became the second most subscribed to video that month.
The musical tells the story of Harry Potter’s adventures at Hogwarts, combining tales from all seven books.
The Potter Musical also has an element of parody - Draco Malfoy is set to leave Hogwarts for his new school PigFarts, which is on Mars and run by headmaster RumbleRoar. Furthermore, Dumbledore and Voldemort share an obsession with teen sensation Zac Efron.
A Very Potter Musical is a great way to kill time before going to see Half Blood Prince in theaters - and it’s totally awesome.
