In collaboration with TerraCycle, Herbal Essences is now sharing eco-friendly haircare bottles that are made with 25% recycled beach plastic. These bottles are being debuted just in time for World Water Day this year, bringing light to the fact that eight million of tons of plastic ends up in the world's waterways each year. Although these kinds of plastic materials can be incredibly difficult to work with due to being exposed to the elements, TerraCycle sets itself apart by reusing hard-to-recycle materials.
The limited-edition Beach Plastic Bottles for shampoo and conditioner are only set to be available from March to June of this year, with designs that feature messages like "Waves of Change" and "Love Your Shore." Beyond this initiative, Herbal Essences is ultimately working towards using 100% renewable and recycled materials for its products and packaging.
