The 2018 Gucci Runway Featured Models Carrying Their Own Heads

The Gucci runway for the Fall 2018 collection surprised the audience with its creatively cinematic motifs and spooky catwalk accessories. Luxurious designer Alessandro Michele launched the Gucci Ready-to-Wear outfits on a pale green operating theater, as the models were "carrying exact replicas of their heads in their hands." To keep up with the fantastical and mythological style of the 2018 Gucci runway, little dragons, horned fawns and other creatures burst into the spotlight.

With such display of magically fictitious characters that are intermixed with high fashion, Alessandro Michele definitely puts into question the notions of individualism and transitive identity. Commenting on the integration of high fashion designs on a broader plane of societal influence, the Gucci runway show definitely carries not only visually cinematic and fashionable appeal, but also contains deeper connotative meanings that are up for discussion.
