Gworkshop Design created this unique packaging design for a line of Ecuadorian guayusa teas.
The packaging for Wajuko tea features a detailed owl illustration decorating the front of the box. An owl was chosen as the main symbol for the tea packaging, based on a story about a child in the amazon named Wajuko who was reincarnated into the form of an owl with penetrating eyes. The only color featured on the mostly black and white illustration is the subtle use of vibrant color in the owl's eyes, and along certain parts of the packaging to identify each different tea flavor.
The owl is also surrounded by guayusa trees and leaves that wrap around to the sides and back of the tea box to create an attractive connection to the overall packaging.
