Thanks to the Tesco Groceries app, grocery shopping for Google Glass users in the UK just got a lot easier. With the Glassware app, shoppers are able to use voice commands to search for Tesco products, put together shopping lists, check out nutritional information and place an order—all without using their hands. Although this application could prove to be useful in-store, items ordered though this app are delivered to a user's home, which also makes this app great for use at home.
The Tesco Groceries app was developed by an in-house Tesco Labs team using the Google’s Glass Development Kit. Although Google Glass is not quite yet the norm, Tesco hopes to give its consumers the chance to get the jump on wearable technology that could be the mainstream in the years to come.
