The Givskud Zoo has commissioned BIG Architecture to come up with a distinct design for its general layout. The firm did not disappoint, as its latest design features a sinuous circular look that allows the animals to be integrated more with nature.
At the center of the zoo is a more elevated circular section, where people can come and relax in the middle area, then observe the animals from the walkway around the edge. This way the animals are not cornered off in small sections of land, with people coming right up to the edge to observe. The other great feature is that visitors could move around the area through different means of transportation, including bikes and even by boat, which is rare for zoos.
