Dubai-based stylist and makeup artist Gene Ginno Alducente's recent series 'It's Alive' takes a stroll on the dark side of fashion design and popular culture.
The series focuses on two women whose clothing and expressions evoke scenes from old Hollywood Horror movies. This is most clearly seen with one of the models who has been styled in such a way as to resemble the bride of Frankenstein from the 1935 film of the same name. Her hair is dark, big and standing on end -- as though propped up by the electricity of Dr. Frankenstein's machinery -- while her dress is made from luxurious, ghostly white fabric. In short, the look is stunning.
If his aim was to create haute horror couture, Gene Ginno Alducente is dead-on with this series.
