To strike the right balance between education and entertainment can be quite tricky, especially when it concerns a food show for kids. Barack and Michelle Obama are attempting to tackle this with a half-hour series that will "take young children and their families around the globe on an adventure that tells the story of our food."

The food show for kids will be launched by production company Higher Ground which was founded by the Obamas. The title of the series is quite playful. Dubbed 'Listen to Your Vegetables & Eat Your Parents,' the show already captures the attention of younger demographics through humor.

The TV series is intended to satisfy curiosity and inspire youngsters to eat better. The activation is a continuation of Michelle Obama's passion for fighting childhood obesity among American youth.
