These flying restaurant servers might just be the solution customers are looking for when it comes to poor service in dining establishments.
Infinium Robotics, a Singapore-based company that develops robots and robotic products, demonstrated a prototype of the flying restaurant server to the prime minister of Singapore. This flying restaurant server, known as the Infinium-Serve, looks like a flying drone, and is capable of carrying food and drinks to the customers. The Infinium-Serve design saves floor space, as it flies to deliver orders; in addition, it is also designed to sense and avoid obstacles.
Timbre Group, a leading restaurant group in Singapore, has entered into an agreement with Infinium Robotics, and is expected to have flying restaurant server in its five restaurants by the end of 2015. This will be the first time flying robots will be used instead of humans in this field, and should provide for a very interesting dining experience for the customer!
