The UK-based Flora spreads have announced the brand has made all of its products plant-based and palm oil-free in a bid to keep them relevant with today's consumer. The change across the brand's entire product portfolio will be paired with a packaging update that will see each SKU contained in the brand's Plant B+tter packaging, which features 100% biodegradable paper packaging. The recipe changes come as part of the brand's parent company Upfield's recent announcement that it will be transitioning all its products to plant-based with a three-year term.
Marketing Director UK at Upfield Ian Hepburn spoke on the updated Flora spreads saying, "We have been continuously working to deliver a fully 100% plant-based range that is even tastier, and are pleased that Flora Buttery is now deliciously dairy-free. Our purpose is at the heart of everything we do, and we will continue to make new products to continue the Flora movement. Plant-based is no longer just an alternative, and when the products are this delicious and affordable, sustainable choices become easy.”
