Mozilla Firefox on Android will now allow for greater privacy options. Notably tracking protections are enabled by default on the mobile browser. Performance is also another highlighted feature on the browser, this is apparent with the Preview operating on the GeckoView engine, which provides users with double the normal performance speed of Firefox.
Other features for Firefox on Android include a minimalistic address bar, and a feature called collections. Collections allow users to visit a number of websites at once. Collections help users who have site viewing routines.
This release is an early version of the browser, with the final release coming in the fall. It is likely that GeckoView features will not come to the iOS release, due to developers needing to implement WebKit on the Apple platform.
