DuckDuckGo, the company famous for its secure search engine, has released the official DuckDuckGo browser on Mac devices. The browser will feature non-invasive integration with the company's search engine, similar to how Chrome natively interfaces with the Google suite of applications. Aside from this, the DuckDuckGo browser boasts a breadth of privacy-enhancing features that solidify it as the most secure browser available.
The browser features automatic pop-up protection, one-click data clearing, and the ability to hide any web element that tracks user data. On top of this, DuckDuckGo only stores sensitive data on the user's system rather than on a central server. These types of data include browsing history, user passwords, and various other metrics such as account settings. DuckDuckGo is currently in beta for Mac and mobile devices only, and will be released soon for Windows devices.
