The Fireball Sick Note Service Gets Darts Fans Out of Work

The World Dart Championships in London are slated to start later this month, so the Fireball Sick Note Service has been created by the Sazerac-owned spirit brand as a cheeky way to help fans ensure they catch the action.

The service comes as part of a multi-year partnership between the brand and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and will enable fans to download complimentary sick notes online that can be sent directly to bosses. The sick notes come in the form of videos created by former darts world champions themselves including Michael Van Gerwen, Michael Smith and Gary Anderson alongside Dimitri Van Den Bergh and Stephen Bunting.

Fireball spokesperson Lorenzo Farronato spoke on the Fireball Sick Note Service saying, "Much like Fireball, darts is a sport with a fanbase dedicated to fun and camaraderie, with a splash of mischief woven in. Both Fireball and our partners at the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) have those fans at the forefront of everything we do – we are always looking to introduce programmes that spice up their experiences while delivering something a bit unexpected at every turn."
