The Finsix Dart is the World’s Smallest and Lightest Laptop Charger
Rahul Kalvapalle — April 20, 2014 — Tech
MIT-based start-up Finsix developed the Dart, which it claims is “the world’s smallest, lightest laptop adapter.” About a quarter of the size of regular laptop chargers, the Dart weighs only 60 grams, takes up only 2.5 cubic inches and has a 6-foot power cable. It provides 65 Watts of power and works with inputs ranging from 90 volts to 265 volts. It connects via a charger port or USB jack.
Finsix reduced the size of the charger by developing technology that is energy-efficient and wastes less power than regular chargers, allowing for the use of a smaller power converter.
The Dart will be compatible with most PC laptops and will work around the world. MacBook Darts and custom models are also available.
