The newest release in Guinness' barrel-aged beer program is a genuine festive holiday beer with real cacao. The Guinness Chocolate Mint Stout is brewed with dry mint leaves, aged in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels, and conditioned with pure cacao. This gives the stout an authentic mint chocolate taste. The stout contains 10.8% ABV, so while it has that minty chocolatey taste, it is still very much a stout.
The stout comes in 4-packs of 11.2oz bottles at the cost of $19.99. Additionally, if you're lucky enough to live in Baltimore, the stout will be available on tap at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery. Continuing in the spirit of the holidays, Guinness has also released the Guinness Gingerbread Stout for a limited time only. This is another stout made with famous holiday spices such as ginger and nutmeg, giving it the perfect festive taste.
