Falling Whistles is a company that has created a small window into the world's deadliest war. Formed in 2008, Falling Whistles was created after an American traveler visited the war-ravaged country of Congo and happened across the Congolese version of whistleblowers—children too young to carry a gun, armed with only a whistle. The sole reason for the whistle was so the children would be the first to draw attention from enemy combatants and then absorb the first round of bullets.
In an effort to encourage people around the world to become whistle blowers for peace and support the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Falling Whistles began selling whistles on their website, with the proceeds going to the people and independent businesses of Congo.
Falling Whistles created the Freetour to encourage international countries to become advocates for free and fair elections to take place in Congo this November.
