The Fade-Out chair by Nendo is an acrylic chair that is painted with a wood grain. Its legs fade from walnut to clear so that when it is placed against any backdrop, it appears to be floating above the ground. Japanese design firm, Nendo, created this re-imagined ghost chair as a way to, “reconstitute the everyday by collecting and reshaping.”
The trompe d’oeil Fade-Out chair by Nendo will be on display as part of a new exhibition entitled, ‘Ghost Stories, New Designs from Nendo’ this fall at New York’s Museum of Art & Design.
