Instagram user Muddycap unveils a look at the Fast Rocking Chair which is defined by its jagged edges that are applied to replicate a visual illusion. It appears to be moving and builds on the concept of visual permanence through the blurred motion.
The chair is made from Maple wood materials and further secured by a coat of paint to hide the wood grain. Every chair is made with different pieces of wood and then cut using a mechanical saw to match the shapes. It joins together using traditional elements. As a result, it has a cartoonish look and the jagged edges can be seen on the side profiles. The armrests and seats have a flat surface to round it out.
