Designer Chris Onesto recently started a concept water company in order to warn California residents against excessive water usage. In drought-stricken California, residents face constant reminders to reduce their water usage. This campaign is targeted at those residents who could be doing more to conserve precious water resources.
Onesto's campaign consists of a concept company called 'The California Water Company.' The fictional company only fills its bottles about six percent full due to a lack of available resources. Alongside the physical bottles, the campaign also involves billboards that send a harsh message about excessive water usage. The idea behind the project is to fully convey the shocking truth about California's dwindling water reserves.
The provocative campaign is aimed at getting consumers to open their eyes to the harsh reality of California's current situation.
