Evvy's third annual Equal Research Day campaign includes a limited-edition coffee table book, 100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap, that shares shocking statistics about voids in women's healthcare across a dozen categories. From heart health and endometriosis to hormonal health, this coffee table book brings vital awareness to gender inequalities in medical research and care.
Women weren't required in US clinical research until June 10th, 1993, which initially led the female-founded vaginal microbiome startup to declare June 10th Equal Research Day. "In the age of 'AI in healthcare,' women are being left behind. We simply don't have enough data on the female body," says Priyanka Jain, Co-Founder and CEO of Evvy.
100% of the proceeds from the book will go toward supporting Women's Health Acces Matters to accelerate women's research and funding.
