There's a 'ghettopunk' side of the Bronx that is rarely seen, but resident photographer Elle Perez grew up surrounded by it and has documented the scene since she was 12-years-old. A gritty lifestyle to capture, she follows an underground youth culture into its very core.
There's everything from fun and games to blood and tears. Elle Perez has a behind-the-scenes pass to it all. Elaborating about her work to Beautiful Decay, she says the series is "about the afam/latino punk scene in the Bronx that no-one really knows exists."
