Estevan Oriol Partners with Dickies for a Capsule Collection
Estevan Oriol has added his creative touch to the Dickies brand, sharing a capsule inspired by the Chicano and “Lowriding” culture in LA. The collection comprises minimalist work pants, overalls, and T-shirts decorated with Dickies branding and cargo-style pockets. Dickies’ signature denim comes in the form of ‘Bib Overalls,’ while work pants opt for the brand’s ‘874® Twill’ fabric. A standout piece is the ‘LA Nights’ shirt, which is a relaxed long-sleeve.
The collection also features Oriol’s camerawork for its visual campaign, sharing photos of models in laid-back poses next to ‘Lowriding’ vehicles.
Oriol commented on the release: “Capturing the raw reality of Los Angeles street life and Chicano lowrider culture is my life’s calling. I’m devoted to humanizing the parts of the city. I’m humbled to have received the immense trust, respect and responsibility from Dickies to document their clothing in an intimate way that authentically represents Chicano culture today.”
