Duolingo and Sony Music Add New Songs to its Music Course

Duolingo just turned up the volume on its music course, making it more exciting than ever. The language-learning giant has teamed up with Sony Music to infuse its curriculum with over 60 pop hits, adding a vibrant new layer to the learning experience.
After venturing into music education last year, Duolingo has been teaching users the basics of music—everything from rhythm and note lengths to music reading and ear training—using the same playful, gamified approach that made it famous for languages like High Valyrian. With lessons now set to the tunes of artists like Hozier and Pharrell Williams, students can dance and groove through their courses with ease.
"At Duolingo, we're constantly looking for ways to make learning more effective and entertaining," George Audi, head of business development at Duolingo, said in a press release. "We're partnering with Sony Music, a leader in the music industry, to bring our learners a library of chart-topping songs they can learn to read and play."
