Target is Adding a Drive-Up Service to Hundreds of Retail Locations
Katherine Pendrill — April 21, 2018 — Business
In an effort to make retail shopping nearly as seamless as the online experience, Target has announced it will be adding drive-up service to hundred of its stores. While the service has already been in place in Minneapolis locations since last fall, the retail giant is hoping to roll out the service to 1,000 more locations across the US by the end of 2018.
Similar to the take-out window at fast food chains, Target's drive-up service allows customers to pick up their favorite items without ever leaving their car. Customers simply place an order with their Target mobile app and their order will be ready for pickup in approximately two hours. Customers then park in designated spots outside the store where employees will bring them their purchases.
